Radiohead lead me on by lead me, a tweet posted to their Twitter account said.
“Hear me out,” the singer wrote.
“We werent supposed to be here.”
“We were supposed to tour with a bunch of other bands, but when we found out that they didnt want to tour, we had to make a decision,” lead singer Thom Yorke told Rolling Stone in an interview published on Monday.
He said he was inspired by the words of a local businessman.
“He said, ‘I want to give you a chance to do something.
I want to help you, to make your dreams a reality,'” he said.”
I thought, ‘Oh, man, that is exactly what we’re going to do,'” Yorke said.
The band’s album ‘Creep’ came out in the US in 2012, and has been viewed more than 200 million times on YouTube.
Its a track that has been a key song on ‘Creeps’ success, leading to the release of its follow-up ‘Paranoid’.
‘Creeps’, and the music that followed, have been a major influence on the band.
“‘Creeps,’ and the song that came out of that, and the songs that are being put out now are all influences on us,” Yorke added.
“We’re not going to change that because of this.”
‘Paranoids’ has sold nearly 2 million copies in the United States.
Yorke said he hopes the album can help artists like him, who have limited resources, to find their voice.
“A lot of times when people say they don’t have money, they just don’t know what they have,” he said, explaining how it helps him.
“When you’re going through tough times and things are tough, you want to do things for yourself and for the people you love, but also for yourself, too.”‘
Paranoiacs’ is the follow-ups to ‘Creeping’ and ‘Paranoias’.
Yorke also told Rolling.com that he would like to create a film that would be released in the UK and the US.
“I’m really proud of what we’ve done and what we can achieve,” he added.
‘The Tourist’ will be released on October 18, 2018.
