A key group of players will be in action on Tuesday against Lithuania in Dublin.
The Blues have been the only side to qualify for Euro 2016, with two goals from all three players.
They will face the winners of Italy and Poland and a draw with Denmark.
Borussia Dortmund are the other two European sides in contention for the European Championship.
A key squad of players has been confirmed, including midfielder Thomas Tuchel, who was head coach of Germany at the World Cup in Brazil.
Tuchel has been in charge at Borussia since the summer of 2016 and is already preparing for a major tournament.
He will take charge of the squad for the tournament with the rest of the Bundesliga squad and will not need to travel.
The German has said he will not play in the World Cups and has said it is not a priority for him.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have also been linked with a move for Tuchel.
The Germany coach, who will coach his side against Lithuania, has been a popular figure in Germany with fans.
The team has been criticised for its performances in recent years.
Dortmund are currently in second place in the Bundesliga, four points behind Bayern Munich, but have failed to reach the Champions League group stages this season.
“I’m not in a position to say anything about it,” Tuchel told broadcaster ARD.
A German newspaper, Bild, reported on Sunday that the club could face a financial penalty of up to €3m (£2.8m) if they failed to qualify.
“This is a big moment in German football history,” said Tuchel on Sunday.
“[I am] very excited about the possibility of winning the European Cup, which is a great honour for the Bundesliga.”
We are very happy with our chances.
We are at a level that we haven’t had in many years.
We have to concentrate on this game and prepare for it.
